Struggling to Find the Words? Let Copilot Draft for You

Microsoft’s Edge browser is introducing a new feature that promises to simplify your life—and the lives of your employees. The AI-powered tool, ‘Draft with Copilot,’ is designed to quickly generate text on any topic you need, making it a valuable addition to your workflow.

Here’s how it works: When you’re using Edge and find yourself stuck in front of an empty text box—whether it’s an email or a comment section—simply right-click. You’ll see the option to ‘Draft with Copilot.’

Selecting this option will open a window where you can input your desired subject or topic. Hit ‘Generate,’ and within moments, Copilot will provide you with a draft on the topic you specified.

But it doesn’t stop there. You can customise the generated text to better fit your needs. Whether you want a more formal tone, a casual approach, or need to adjust the length, Copilot gives you the flexibility to tailor the text to your style.

Time is a valuable resource, and ‘Draft with Copilot’ is here to help you save both time and effort. Think about how much time your team spends drafting emails or crafting social media posts. With Copilot, these tasks become quicker and more efficient.

Beyond speed, Copilot ensures that the text it generates is grammatically correct and well-structured, which is particularly beneficial if you’re working in a language that isn’t your first.

At present, this feature is only available in US English, but Microsoft has plans to expand it to additional languages.

A word of caution: While Copilot is a powerful tool, it’s important to review the text it generates. Some users have noted that AI-produced content can sometimes feel a bit generic, so you may want to add a personal touch or specific details to make it resonate better with your audience.

Currently, this feature is part of the Edge Canary preview build, meaning it’s still being refined.

As Microsoft continues to integrate Copilot into more Windows applications, it’s clear that AI tools like these will become increasingly useful and versatile, making our digital tasks easier.
